Stood firm on scaling back the controversial 4043 Irving Place development to safeguard schoolchildren and preschoolers in the immediate area, to protect neighboring historic homes and to prevent lead contamination during construction

Helped craft Culver City’s first Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan (BPMP)
Co-founded Culver City Bicycle Coalition to track BPMP implementation, educate residents about safe riding, and advocate for cycling infrastructure
Served as active member of Safe Routes to School Committee that enabled Culver City to obtain a nearly $500,000 grant to improve walking and biking around the Linwood E. Howe school area, and a $500,000 grant for education, encouragement and enforcement throughout the entire school district

HONORS
Meghan was awarded “Democrat of the Year” in 2010 by the L.A. County Democratic Party, and was recognized by the National Women’s Political Caucus (L.A. Westside chapter) as one of twelve “Remarkable Women” of 2012 alongside Attorney General Kamala Harris and Assembly members Holly Mitchell and Betsy Butler.
She has received numerous recognitions from local, State, and National elected officials for her significant contributions to her community.
She has pushed for early public notification and participation in the development process, which has been adopted by the City Council.
Meghan has taken the lead on making our streets safer for walking and biking, by educating cyclists and helping to craft and promote the implementation of Culver City’s first Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. She is an active member of the Safe Routes to School Committee that helped the city obtain a nearly $500,000 grant to improve walking and biking around the Linwood E. Howe school area, as well as a $500,000 grant for education, encouragement and enforcement in the entire school district.
Consistently speaking out for the protection of our environment, Meghan has helped organize events, talks and workshops to inspire our community to become greener. She has lead efforts to make Linwood E. Howe Elementary School a sustainable campus.
